More about our Company:

Since 1938, Alpine Log Homes Inc. has received international acclaim for their natural-element homes. The company's environ-friendly designs have been showcased in publications such as Architectural Digest, Veranda, House Beautiful, Town & Country, House & Garden, HOME, and Country Living.

Recent Alpine homes have been built from Maine to California and from England to Thailand. Alpine is equally known for its commercial work and crafted the clubhouse, conference center and restaurants at the Blackwolf Run Country Club for the Kohler Corporation; buildings and structural components at the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World, Orlando, Florida; a 46-room monastery in Japan; the corporate retreat of the largest architectural firm in the world; the Wolf Lodge and Trading Post, Cleveland Metropark Zoo, Cleveland, Ohio.

The Alpine-crafted Trapper’s Cabin in Vail, Colorado, was named “Best Hideaway of the Decade.”  An Alpine home was a Gold Nugget Award winner for “Best Custom Home” in the 14 western states.  Their design group recently created a home that was named HOME magazine’s “Best Little House.” Another Alpine project was named “Home of the Year” by Metropolitan Home Magazine. The company was also awarded a cash prize for building the first log home to pass the Bonneville Power Authority’s “Super Good Cents” energy code.

The company’s sound business practices have been the subject of numerous profiles in FORBES, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, on CNN and CNBC.

In addition to Alpine’s sustainable building practices and high level of craftsmanship, the company is committed to developing techniques that further the integrity of the log home. After many years of onsite building, Alpine was the first company to initiate the system for log-yard pre-assembly at a central location, then dismantling and shipping for reassembly at the owner’s site. Alpine Log Homes developed the original engineering tables for full-log construction, and pioneered the use of standing dead timber, thus eliminating the need to harvest live tress.  Alpine was the original developer of the synthetic chinking materials now used industry-wide.

A highly experienced team handcrafts logs and timbers for a full range of structures from small, creative homes to large, upscale projects. Alpine’s focus is on energy efficiency, low site impact, and on environmentally conscious resources.

Their large professional staff provides design services, engineering, guaranteed production and delivery dates, exact log and timber costing to you or your architect. The company is known for its on-time and on-budget philosophy.
